Originally from Tannourine, I have been serving as a local guide since 2007. I collaborate with the Lebanon Mountain Trail, specifically overseeing sections 9 and 10, while also working as an independent guide across the Tannourine region. My involvement extends to leading activities within the Reserve since 2015.
Trained as an agricultural engineer, my devotion lies in nature, biodiversity, and environmental preservation. I take immense joy in imparting this enthusiasm to visitors exploring the region.
I curate hikes suited for all proficiency levels, be it summer walks or winter snowshoe treks. The spectrum ranges from leisurely one-hour strolls within the reserve to more challenging 15 to 20-km mountain expeditions.
During the summer season, I share insights about the indigenous flora and the region's history. Noteworthy are the vintage grape presses utilized for producing molasses, along with historic mills.
This area deeply resonates with religious heritage, exemplified by hermitages in Ain el Raha and Tannourine valleys. The reserve encompasses several trails, including paths leading to the Jurd, a desert expanse within the mountains. At higher altitudes, hikers may even cross paths with local shepherds.
Apart from these offerings, the reserve presents a variety of activities. From stargazing to participating in cedar planting and adoption initiatives, visitors can also explore the Maison de la Réserve. This facility introduces them to the indigenous fauna, flora, and the region's diverse insect life. Families and children hold a special fondness for this destination, which captivates researchers and enthusiasts alike.
