For the past 13 years, I have proudly served as a local guide in the Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve. Hailing from a village adjacent to the Mchati entrance, near one of the reserve's gateways, my family runs a guest house where we warmly welcome visitors with coffee and a delicious lunch.
In 2009, I seized the opportunity to undergo training at the guide school initiated by the reserve, benefitting from the expertise of seasoned professionals. Despite having a background in law, my passion for guiding has become a significant part of my life. Today, my focus is on curating visitor experiences suitable for diverse groups and all ages. We are committed to continuous training, extending support to new guides, guards, and local women who own guest houses and tables d'hôtes.
Personally, I lead groups of visitors through the reserve, showcasing its breathtaking beauty. I strive to provide a comprehensive experience encompassing walking trails, local lunches prepared by village women, stays in guest houses, and the exploration of cultural and traditional sites, including archaeological wonders.
Guiding individuals from various countries and cultures, introducing them to Lebanon's splendor, and offering rare and unique experiences brings me immense joy. Many visitors leave their hikes transformed and rejuvenated, escaping the stresses of everyday life, even if only for a few hours or a day.
Additionally, I organize walks beyond Jabal Moussa, aiming to reveal Lebanon's magnificence through lesser-known yet incredibly beautiful trails. While my specialization lies in nature discovery, I also take the opportunity to enlighten participants about ruins, caves, and local cultural heritage. I prefer leading small groups, with a maximum of 15 people or families, ensuring tailored itineraries that match the participants' levels. Some trails are remarkably easy yet captivating, aiming to make hiking an enjoyable experience for everyone, while instilling a sense of responsibility to protect and respect the environment.
